Purity & Quality: Why it matters

The more hemp extract oil products become popular everywhere, the more consumers need to know what to look for in terms of quality. The fact that these products may contain several contaminants and the availability of clear on-label information such as specific dosage and percentage present in every product, are only a couple of the main factors that can make an excellent product or... a pretty scary one.

Science has backed it all, hemp oil can be a powerful painkiller with anti- inflammatory properties, but which products to choose? Cannabis plants absorb pesticides, heavy metals and other harmful chemicals that might be present in the water or soil. This is why, first of all, plants should be tested frequently while they grow and so should finished products. Testing itself is another subject entirely and may not be enough; brands like Hola not only get their products tested internally but also by an outsider party/lab (both studies available to the public) for complete transparency and high, verifiable quality.

Another fact to look for in your product’s label is how much Hemp Extract it actually contains, not just the total grammage but the milligrams in each dose. It’s important to start with a low dosage and increase as advised by a doctor, this is why products with specific content information, as well as those with small amounts per dose are the best choices.

The second advantage of clear amounts and percentages on every label is the promise of purity (a contaminant-free product) and a Hemp Oil product free from THC, less than 0.3 percent to be exact. Either because you want to avoid the head-high that THC could cause or to make sure the product is legal in your state, hemp-derived products are the ones with the right amount of THC, even for states where only THC-free CBD products are legal.
